Join Gospel Mission Baptist Church of Los Angeles via Zoom on Monday, June 21st at 3:00pm for a 1 hour Redistricting Workshop for Faith Community. The LA County Citizens Redistricting Commission encourage the faith-community to share and educate your church membership about the Redistricting process. Learn how to draw your own maps of your community of interest, and provide public testimony during one of 10 public hearings taken place throughout Los Angeles County.

Senior Food Meals
CalFresh provides monthly food benefits to individuals and families who qualify based on income. Families receive an easy to use Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card that works like a debit card for food purchases at many local grocery stores and some online stores. There is also Pandemic EBT..

WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program
WIC provides families with children under age 5 money for healthy supplemental foods. The program also offers nutrition and health education, breastfeeding support and referrals to healthcare and other community services.
WIC is open to low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children until their fifth birthday.
COVID-19 Retraining & Recovery (CORE) Fund Scholarship
SoLa Impact and its nonprofit affiliate, SoLa I CAN, have launched a new educational initiative, the COVID-19 Retraining & Recovery Fund (CORE). The fund offers scholarships to South LA residents whose jobs have been lost because of COVID-19. CORE will pay for enrollment and completion of in-person or online professional certification and training program that will be in high-demand as our society adapts to a new COVID-19 reality, such as healthcare and technology. CORE will partner with local and national educational institutions to help ensure students commit and complete recertification programs paired with job placement and technical assistance services.
